How It All Started
The idea for Rising Desi came about during a late-night chai session with friends. As we sipped our tea and exchanged stories about the incredible accomplishments of people in our community, it struck us: why weren’t these stories being told on a larger scale? Sure, there were snippets here and there, but there wasn’t a dedicated platform celebrating South Asian excellence in all its forms. That’s when the vision for Rising Desi began to take shape.
Armed with a love for storytelling and a determination to make a difference, we set out to build a platform that would shine a spotlight on the movers and shakers in our community. Along the way, we’ve been fueled by the support and enthusiasm of readers like you, who share our passion for celebrating South Asian culture.
